Netflix has announced an unexpected partnership with FIFA to launch a World Cup game that evolves in real-time based on actual tournament results. The game, launching alongside the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will update team stats, match outcomes, and storylines as they happen in real life.
'This is the first time a game has been directly tied to a live sporting event in this way,' said a Netflix spokesperson. 'If your favorite team wins, the game celebrates with you. If they lose, the narrative adapts.'
The game will be available on Netflix's mobile and TV platforms at no additional cost to subscribers.
